Chris Klassen
Registered Veterinary Technician
Growing up on a hobby farm amidst a variety of animals, Chris developed an early passion for veterinary care. Graduating from Red River College Polytechnic in 2000 with a diploma in Veterinary Technology, she embarked on a fulfilling career in veterinary medicine. Over the course of 8 years, she honed her skills in a mixed large animal practice, contributing to the bovine embryo transfer team. Additionally from 2019-2023, she shared her knowledge by teaching in the Veterinary Technologist program of Red River College.
Her professional interests lie in anesthesia, surgery and dentistry, areas that allow her to continually expand her knowledge.
Her personal life is filled with the joys of three adult children and caring for an assortment of pets: Sherman Theodorus Pepperpots, an adorable Shih-tzu Bichon mix, along with Rudy the tarantula.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
When not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, doing yoga, practicing her art skills and relaxing at the cabin.
Favorite Part of My Job
What she finds most gratifying about her work is the close-knit atmosphere of our hospital and the meaningful connections forged with both clients and patients.
